How to measure your foot
Always measure in the evening. The foot expands throughout the day: in the morning, it can be up to half a size smaller.
In the evening, it's at its actual size.
Place your largest foot on the paper fixed to the floor. Wear the sock you will use with the shoe.
Distribute your weight evenly.
With the pencil held at a 90° angle to the paper, mark the perimeter of your foot. If tilted, it tends to overestimate.
Repeat for both feet.
Measure the distance between your heel and big toe. Use your larger foot as a reference and find the measurement in the table below.
| Foot length (cm) | Italy / EU | UK | US |

Do you have very narrow feet?
For all loafers, we recommend considering one size smaller than indicated in the size chart. Without laces or buckles, the upper does not provide active containment. Those with narrow feet might find them too loose in their standard size.
Fit by type
Classic vs sneaker
Follow the standard size chart. If you are between two sizes, choose the smaller one. Our fit guarantees comfort even in the smaller size.
If you have very narrow feet, consider one size down for loafers.

If you already wear classic Lordh shoes, take one size up for sneakers compared to your usual size. Lordh's artisanal construction is more contained than the average sports shoe.

The artisan's tips
The foot expands throughout the day by up to half a size. Measuring it in the evening ensures the correct size for maximum comfort during actual use.
Your two feet are rarely identical—the difference can be up to half a centimeter. Always use the larger foot as a reference.
Quality leather requires a short break-in period. During the first few weeks, wear them for short sessions: the leather will progressively mold to the exact shape of your foot.
If you are between two sizes, choose the smaller one. Our standard fit ensures comfort even in the smaller size: a well-fitting shoe always feels better than one with too much room in the front.
Do you use orthotics?
For those using an insole up to 3 mm thick at the toe, ball, and heel, we recommend choosing one size up from your standard size.
If the thickness exceeds 3 mm, or if you are looking for a fully custom pair, please contact us before ordering: you are welcome to visit our company for a dedicated consultation.
